The head of the Capital Investment Coordination Agency (BKPM) Franky Sibarani said, Taiwan investors have expressed interested in building a car headlight factory in Indonesia. The value of investments will rolled out by investors namely amounting to USD 50 million.

added, the automotive industry in Indonesia continues to grow so will
the needs of the supply chain is formed that can open new business
opportunities for the industry supporters. In addition, it is also a business opportunity of expansion investments from some car manufacturer in Indonesia.
"The presence of the expansion of investment from some car factory in Indonesia would provide advantages for supporting industries," said Franky in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/3).
Franky explains, the Taiwan companies currently are in the stage of considering the exact location for the construction of its plant. It is estimated, the factory takes on 15 acres of land.
According to Franky, with the land area there is the possibility of the construction of the factory is carried out in the territory of the Karawang region because there are several motor vehicle assembly plant four wheels. "The location is still under consideration," said Franky.
In the meantime, to the field of Investment KDEI Taipei Mohamad Faizal said, investment interest from investors has been preceded by an investment commitment from some motor vehicle tire production company. Therefore, it does not cover possible investment interest will appear from other automotive components industry.
According to Mohamad, the company already has two factories in Taiwan, four factories in China, the warehouse in United States, and the Research and Development Center in Taiwan. Meanwhile, their consumers spread across 170 countries and its products are used by some of the most famous car brands.
