Indonesia ranked 12th in a ranking of the percentage of Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Technology (STEM) drawn up by the Organization for economic co-operation and development (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD). The OECD compiled a ranking of the world's most advanced 40 countries based on percentage of Bachelor's degree in STEM against the total number of college graduates (college).
One reason the OECD compiled a list of these rankings is because the world needs more scientists and engineers to solve so many global issues: climate changes, guarantees of food, energy, water, and others.
The first order was for South Korea with a total percentage of 32%, while Indonesia ranked 12th with 24% percentage.
